He regularly spends his time there when not on duty or with the other glaives, volunteering to kick out assholes when they get too rowdy. Not that she needs it, of course. She's just as capable of kicking his ass as any soldier and he loves her for it.

Nyx's sworn Queen. Verses vary whether she's emotionally adopted him or whether he's filled a space left over from the King's death. The latter verse does result in a relationship and a daughter that Nyx dearly loves and cares for despite the potential for public scandal.

Ignis Scientia
Final Fantasy XV

Pre-Altissia. Spans multiple verses. What started out as training partners turned into a mutual kinky sex relationship that became super intense feelings for each other. Nyx is hopelessly smitten with Ignis, grateful for the man being a steady presence in his personal storm, and exasperated that Ignis fails to properly take care of himself.

Post-Altissia. Primarily used with POW!verse Nyx. Ignis was Nyx's lover before Nyx was taken by Niflheim in the middle of battle and only saw him again a year later after everything went to shit and Nyx escaped captivity. They're essentially holding each other up by sheer willpower and the love they still hold despite time and pain separating them.

The Vampire Diaries

Pines!CR. Elena is Nyx's sister via false memories, and even though he knows they're not really related he's still protective over her and intent on helping her defend herself.

The once and future King of...basically the entire world. Nyx thinks he's an adorable dork prince. Horrible pancake hoarder, though. Tragedy.

Pines!CR, plus a handful of verses placing Cassian inside XV's world. Nyx trusts him to have his back and will return the favor without hesitation. They are mutually navigating their unwillingness to have the other die.

Nyx was arranged to be married to Baron's figurehead Queen in an attempt to save Insomnia from the combined forces of Baron and Niflheim falling upon it. He grew to love her above and beyond his duty and vows to stay even after they've saved both their Kingdoms.
